THOUGHTFUL STEWARDSHIP
I love Wilmette for the same reasons families choose to build their lives here: strong neighborhoods, thriving local businesses, beautiful public spaces, and neighbor-to-neighbor connections that transcend politics. The Board's next few years will shape what Wilmette becomes, and I want to help protect what we love while preparing for the future.
PUBLIC SERVICE
For nearly a decade I've watched my Girl Scouts learn what it means to be part of a community. They've advocated for humane care for stray animals and for the parks they want. I believe local government belongs to all of us, and running for Village Trustee is one way I can follow through on the example I've tried to set for them.
CAREFUL LISTENING
I've spent my career helping public agencies and community organizations tackle complicated problems, and I've learned that good decisions start with understanding the people most affected by them. A trustee's job is to listen carefully, weigh the evidence, and make decisions that reflect the needs and priorities of the whole community.

Elizabeth Graettinger
for Wilmette
Village Trustee
Elizabeth Graettinger moved to Wilmette when she was sixteen and is a single mom raising her two daughters here. She lives in the house her parents bought in 1992, three blocks from the townhome they later moved to and three more from her brother, sister-in-law and their three children. Wilmette has been a wonderful place for her extended family to raise their children, run their businesses and connect with a community that cares.
She is founder and CEO of Aim & Arrow Group, a Chicago-area consulting firm that helps government agencies, school systems, libraries and nonprofits build programs and initiatives that reflect the priorities and needs of the people they serve. Earlier in her career, Elizabeth oversaw $40 million in annual grants as Vice President of Community Investment at United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. She began her career as a first-grade teacher and later spent eight years at the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago.
She teaches nonprofit management at the University of Chicago and is on the faculty of Northwestern University's Kapnick Center for Business Institutions.
In Wilmette, Elizabeth has been active in her daughters' schools and has led a Girl Scout troop for the past ten years. She also helped found New Trier Together, a community mutual-aid network serving people who live and work in the area.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College, a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago and a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Help put Elizabeth
on the ballot
To appear on the April 6, 2027 ballot, Elizabeth needs signatures from registered Wilmette voters this fall. Petitions must be signed in person, so a volunteer will bring one to you. Everyone registered to vote at your address can sign during the same visit.
